Default My take on the Morgan Plus 8

This past Sunday I met up with William (aka Lambroving) and took a few shots of this fine vehicle...film was Fuji Velvia, MP, 90 Summicron APO Asph.

Dan -

Lovely, both. #1, though, is a WONDERFUL composition with organic shapes and subtle color gradations.

Hello Dan,

THAT was quick. You did a reasonable job with the color. This is pretty close and Royal Ivory is a real bear. This is closer, but I've yet to nail it. Have a look at the 2nd attempt here. http://www.leica-camera-user.com/spo...ht=Royal+Ivory It's a rich, creamy color.

William B.

That's a BUG! Collected at a high rate of speed no doubt. Naturally I had to give Dan a longish ride...

Thanks for the comments.

Believe me, I debated on "cleaning" up that bug...lol.

I knew the color on this would be tough...chromes were slightly underexposed, and my home monitor is not as accurate as I would like it to be. The photos William linked to are certainly closer. I suspect more shooting of this vehicle is needed!

Gee...some guys have all the fun: sports cars, brewpubs....

Sure wish I had a good job like William's!!

Great images Dan. The Velvia colors are terrific. I never get tired of seeing them. William thinks I'm a saturation junkie, but so be it.

Thanks.

Allan

Allan,

Thanks for the compliments. I've really become a Velvia fan, especially since shooting with the Leica glass.

New Jersey's brewpubs are not quite what they used to be....I suspect I need to visit the UK, see the Ridgeway and drink some nice ales.

Default AW: My take on the Morgan Plus 8

Wow, red wing pipings, wondeful!

The color looks very good, but the shadows have NO details, too less for my taste, but that´s VELVIA50, heavy to catch the shadows!

up from the dead....my lord! I will have to look at the chromes again - it's possible my scan was not up to snuff on the second one....

Love the colors and how you used the 90cron.
