There is a model yacht on my window-sill which looks just like this lovely old boat. Is it still in use (when rigged)?

Yes Pete. This was Olin Stephens's first commission for a one design in 1929. Our club has had several of the boats (all of maghogany), rebuilt in Mystic , CT. I'm eyeing one for the coming years. Very similar to a Shields. Last year MBYC sent a contingent of 2 crews to the UK to race there in a similar design. We won the series (yeah !!!),
