Pete - what fun, and nicely rendered.

Luigi - I can't recall any auto having this hood (bonnet) ornament and suspect it was added by an owner.

The car is a Riley; as Stuart said these mascots were often added by their owners to personalise their vehicle. This one was actually a little work of art; best I've seen.
