Default Now that's a proper car!

The Bugatti type 57 was surely one of the most beautiful cars ever made. This isn't the 57SC Atalante, which is really gorgeous. But this 57C ain't bad.

Charlie -

I agree completely, and you've done it justice. Any more views?

Great shots of a great car. Bugatti is my favourite make of older vehicle, they all had style especially when Jean Bugatti designed the bodies. It was an era when coachbuilders were to the fore. I went to the Schlumph Collection in Mulhouse,France, shortly after it was opened to the public under state ownership following the financial collapse of the Schlumph Brothers textile business. To walk into those buildings and see all those Bugattis literally took my breath away and I will never forget it.

Do you have some more pics to post?

Stu, Ben and Ian,

Many thanks for your comments. Here are some more shots of the car. I hope you like them.

This car must surely qualify as a work of art.

An excellent set of beautifully composed photos, Charlie, and B&W fits the subject perfectly.

Cheers, Ken.

Ken,

Like Ian, I'm a great fan of Bugattis. Fortunately for me the Bugatti Owners Club have their home only 6 miles from my house at Prescott Hill. Hence I get to see them regularly, not just as static displays, but raced up the hill too. Here's one for you from last weekend.
