My first Car - Any ideas ?

Cost me £1,50 - 30/- in old money as a non-runner. Not my car now - looks good. Anyone guess what it is ?

Well, the file is titled AJS saloon 1930.gif.

Well; if it is an AJS... they made some cars, went bust in the depression and went back to making motor-bikes. I think that the cars used other folks engines, perhaps Meadows, erm....Matchless? Climax??? Long time since I read about this, never seen one, I'm probably wrong......... as usual.

I thought someone would notice ! Exactly a 1931 AJS saloon - A J Stevens made cars from 1929 - 1933 Fitted with a Coventry Climax 1099cc engine it was a handy little car but the recession killed it and they confined their activities to motor bikes.
