Latest Type-Approved Aero 8 (for both EC & NAS) with the front end treatment of the Aeromax. This is possibly the final evolution, but one never knows... Anyone wishing the press release from the MMC which came the other day can send me a private mail and I'll forward it.
This is in the pit lane at Mallory in case you hadn't guessed. ![]() MP .58, 35/2 LHSA ASPH, f5.6@250th, 100 UC.

I like the way the darker clouds flow around the tree and viewing platform. Well spotted, William.

I don't think there could be better color and detail in a web posted photo. I love the light on the people in the background and the rich saturation in the entire image. I don't think one could quite get results like this with digital capture.

William, this is easily the best of the 'moggie' shots that you've posted. There's a real sense of atmosphere and brooding.
It works well in b&w too :-)

William,
I can REALLY see why you were able to sell this one. What a wonderful shot. (great angle, light, clouds / sky, color and reflections in the paint, composition, everything) The fence and the people in the background really make it a very pleasing shot. Nicely done. Best, Ray |

Pardon the delayed reply. I can't view this site any longer from my office since Andreas "upgraded" the software. Glad you enjoyed.
Stuart, The final design treatment was "in camera". This required some contortion and patience for the "actors" to take their positions. Very happy Ron refrained from posting the shot he took of me taking this one! Only about a mm. is cropped from the left. The 100 UC did the rest.Brent, Naturally we agree. You get it, Ron gets it, but not everyone does. There is a time and place for each medium. Mainly I miss the color depth and textures from all but the very best digital capture. To get the above result requires no post-processing. What I saw is what I got. Andy, I have some magic amber gradient sunglasses from Cutler and Gross which I had made up a couple of years ago. Ask Ron and Chris. They show almost exactly how the cloud will appear on film using a UVa. Thanks again for the comments.

Steve,
Long story. Andreas installed some software which screams "club/forum" to the web spyders, I imagine in the hopes of getting more hits, not that this site needs it. My organization gets its Internet connection via the ADP server which has software which specifically excludes all clubs, blogs, fora and the like. Our server needs to be exceedingly secure due to the client data which flows through it. They (ADP) have no interest in making exceptions. Andreas gave me a link which can access the front page. I can even log in, but the internal links all point to www.leica-camera-user.com which has now become excluded. If he (Andreas) pointed those internal links to Leica User Forum I could once again have access, but I doubt Andreas has any incentive to do this, even though I warned him in the Testforum... John, If I knew you better, I'd mail you the full file where the light is REALLY amazing, but I'm glad you can still see it at 240K. Thanks for commenting, and I assure you that what you see is real. Wish we had light like this over here. When it's good over there, it's REALLY fantastic.

Brother James!
Glad you enjoyed. Ed, If they gave me one, I'm not sure I could afford to buy the tires every 8,000 miles... ![]()

William,
This is the shot that got me wondering just where in NJ you were getting you're film processed. I also like what's going on here from a content standpoint. Great looking car, in an environment that is all business - the track. You could shoot this in a concours type setting, but to me - the track (and activity) give the car more credibility as a performance machine. Of course, that's my take. And the 35 f2 ASPH...well...what more can I add? |

I like the shot and the production. Really sweet. But I shall have to be adult about this and not get into discussion over an irreconcilable difference in taste just because I think these things could have been styled by Volvo
