Default antique cars in California race, sections of

We went to the California Mille race today and shot some cars with my M8 and 12mm lens. I then enlarged parts. Here are a Duesenberg, Rolls Royce and Packard. The 12mm lens did distort them so I tried to make artistic sections.

Caryl, all fine. I like the color tone you extracted from this lens.

Nice composition and cropping

Was the top car a shade of black?

and interesting sections chosen, but the cropping I suspect at times was a bit too much to allow for clean detail reproduction this is most evident in your first photograph
I think you may have had happier results using a wide angle, rather than an ultra wide angle lens for these
also, as with people photographs, I find the "looking down" POV less flattering than a lower one
as one of my photography teachers taught me, it is generally wise for photographers to "bend the knees"
I enjoyed seeing these all the same
thanks for sharing them

Thank you for commenting, Artichoke. I go to this event every years with different cameras and lenses. This year I wanted to use the 12mm and see what happened.
