Race for the cure.

Today in NYC's Central Park (among other venues around the country I believe) there was an annual Susan Komen Race for the Cure. The event is a 5 km run/walk through the park. A fund raiser to fight breast cancer. (Basically, people get sponsors to pay them for every km they run.)

This is what I saw with my Lumix LX1 and f2.8 DC Vario Elmarit.

The Race is a great event nationwide. It's run in the springtime here in Indy. Same was true when I lived in Texas, in Dallas, and it's always a major event on women runners' and walkers' calendars everywhere.

Thanks for posting this reminder of this great cause.
