Walking up Park Avenue last evening we looked in the window of the Ferrari dealership and saw this lovely 599. It became immediately clear what Barbara wanted for Christmas. So if seven or eight of you send USD 50,000, or JPY 5,554,000, or BP 24,336 or EUR 35,677 Barbara will not be disappointed this Christmas.

Ruben -
Barbara's jaw dropped when she saw the pricetags on the various F merchandise in the window. I guess that means we should save those dollars for the 599. |

Anthony -
His team made so much money on the licensed Beckham merchandize, even before his first game, that they covered the cost of haivng him on the team. I have no idea if the missus's dresses, so tight that her breasts appear to be on her shoulders, had much impact on this or not. |

Perhaps Stuart your wife would prefer this Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 roadster?
Sorry I could only get the back end but what colour. |

Stuart, as an investment expert you should know well that we would all profit handsomely if indeed we followed your request
I forget how many they will make--maybe 200?--but there's no doubt the car will become a classic worth millions in not too many years And think of all the V-12-powered fun we each would have sharing for one week of the year! Frankly I am surprised to see one on a showroom floor, but I guess that speaks to the "hard times" the rich are suffering Thanks Allan

It looks lovely Stuart - buy it!
I've been tempted by the 599 but it is so stuffed with electronic 'nannery' (new word?), that I'm told it's a bit ordinary to drive. I'm not sure seeing supercars in a showroom is a particular signal - people tend to keep them for a year and then swap for the next model before depreciation kicks in too hard. |

Allan - I think the Park Avenue showroom seldom sells cars and is there just as a showplace.
Neil - A friend with his 4th & 5th Ferrari (he'll sel his 360F1 Spider when his 430 comes in) tells me it drives very nicely and Ferrari-like. His 5th Ferrari is a Challenge model, and one of three cars he races. Allan & Neil - Even in the hardest of times historically there has been a wealthy enough market segment to support such lovely high-end toys. |
