Default Expensive "grid"....

.... under the impossibly harsh lighting of the NEC I got in amongst the expensive Italians on a mock-up grid.

Autosport International racing car show 2008.

I didn't think of seeing a genuine old Alfa 33... almost a forgotten racing car from a brand I still love (and drive... a 159 Wagon )

Stu,
I barely noticed the Lusso, it was parked alongside my favourite car EVER, the 250 SWB.

Luigi,
These Alfas all seem to be in the US or the UK; from the registration number this one perhaps arrived here in 1968, i.e. from when it was new. Must have been quite a car to drive on the road!
I'm surprised that I've not seen this one before, although it looked like it had never been used- not restored, just "old". Maybe it's just been unused?

The 250 SWB is gorgeous, too. Some photos of it?

Stuart,
I don't really like to show these beasts caged- here is one on the loose and in its natural environment. Although, on reflection, it looks like I'm in the cage with the beast and Joe Public is on the outside.

Magnificent cars superbly captured.

Pete,

Nicely done indeed.

Pete -

Thank you. As I admire the 250 I'm rolling a red 1/43 die cast model of it across my desktop.
