Pete -
Still one of the most exciting autos ever built. Too bad Ford discontinued the recent road version -- We all have to drop in on Neil for a ride. Your image is technically spot-on, and the angle is perfect. |

It's lovely how B&W really makes Le Mans and Goodwood, for example, look so 'period'.
I have long wanted to go to the old circuit at Reims (not my picture below) with some of my cars. Anyone of the regulars here would be most welcome to drop by for a ride in the summer! ![]() |

Neil,
You'll have a bit of a shock if you are expecting it to look like that! The structures have been restored and there was a "Revival" in October. ![]() This link takes you to the "club" but if you go into the French side of the site there are loads of photos from the event, including GT40. Les amis du circuit de gueux Might be worth a visit at the end of next year? ![]()

That's my first car there, right on the track. A Renault 4. Great little car.

Thanks for that link Pete - very interesting.
I'd be up for a hoon down there in the GT sometime - you take the pics, I'll do the driving! There's a chateau down that way, Chateau de Fere, that I've stayed in before - I think it's relatively close by... We could swing by and say boo to Doc. |

Neila You are welcome and you can say boo to me ! with pleasure of course I live at 30 minutes from the welknown "Chateau en Fère de Tardennois" as you said, with his hotel restaurant and with an excellent "french cuisine" Also nice and quiet place to spend some days inside the forest ! I recommend you an other excellent restaurant "Au Petit Comptoir" at Reims (less expensive and good table too):the cook come from "Boyer" . Please send me a MP before you come ! |

Henri - I had a good friend who lived in Rue Kellerman who took me round the circuit in his Peugeot in the 1950s when it was still a very fast racing circuit. This photograph does it justice because the circuit never had the gravitas of Le Mans but ir was a real racetrack for the brave.
