This shot was taken at the Le Mans Classic last July; I have some more shots somewhere and some from the NEC show a couple of years ago (I thought this posting had sunk without trace

)

This is one maker of replicas in the UK:

Replica Jaguar XJ13 sports endurance car

I know there is at least one in the US.

Was that the real McCoy at Le Mans? I assumed it was a replica! Eeeek!

Neil,
Yes it was the real one; fresh from a bit of a refurb. Jaguar just sort of left it lying around with a few other from their collection. I had a chat with one of their blokes and he said there was no point in locking it away in a museum so you may get some more chances to see it around this year, by which I mean next year!

I read about the restoration - it's worth in the region of £7m apparently. Thanks for the confirmation, I would have spent more time drooling had I known!
