A miller Posted March 2, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I was driving on the service road under the FDR highway (which runs along the East River) in Manhattan and I saw out of the corner of my eye a parking lot a bunch of old beat up cars. So I pulled over and took these images with my Monochrom and 35mm summilux asph fle. I happened to have a polarizing filter with me, which came in handy b/c it was very sunny. This one I think is a Grand Prix from the early 60's Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! This one looks like a Checker Cab from the early '80s I have no idea what this one is. Anyone?? Berth Posted March 2, 2014 Share #2 Posted March 2, 2014 The last I think is a Dodge or Plymouth from the early/mid 1960's.
samwells Posted March 2, 2014 Share #3 Posted March 2, 2014 Nice how these old cars have grilles and 'faces' full of individual character that are sadly missing from most of today's bland offerings. cheers: Sam

A miller Posted March 3, 2014 Author Share #8 Posted March 3, 2014 Many thanks everyone for your comments. Gianluca - Very funny. There just isn't anything quite like an Italian car, I'll give you that! Btw, I've confirmed that the third car is a 1963 Dodge Polara.

Btw, I've confirmed that the third car is a 1963 Dodge Polara. I'm afraid I'm showing my age. And showing off my memory.
