Berth Posted February 9, 2014 Share #3 Posted February 9, 2014 Heavily modified. My brother-in-law bought a new one back in the mid-60's. Glorious car. Which needed lots of tender, loving, care.
Guest Posted February 9, 2014 Share #4 Posted February 9, 2014 ... Such a wonderful classic sports car should always have the steering wheel on the right side.

pauledell Posted February 9, 2014 Share #6 Posted February 9, 2014 Tri, A fine series of that little gem of a car. They are a lot of fun if you know how to drive them. Paul
jaapv Posted February 9, 2014 Share #7 Posted February 9, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) They are fine cars, but I prefer them in their original state.
stuny Posted February 9, 2014 Share #8 Posted February 9, 2014 Beautiful. This is the model 3000 from the last generation. Very interesting looks with the bumpers removed, the holes from them filled, the new windscreen, wider wheels and tires, fender (wings) flared, replacement hood (bonnet), paint and "legburner" exhaust. Since it has no rollover bar is no doubt done for appearance instead of used in historic racing. My favorite AH models are the 100M, very few of the many which are claimed to have come from the factory that way really were 100Ms.
tmldds Posted February 9, 2014 Author Share #9 Posted February 9, 2014 Thank you everyone and, especially, Stuart for the information.
Karl G Posted February 18, 2014 Share #10 Posted February 18, 2014 What a beauty, Tri. Stuart really pointed out all the changes and customization. I once had a 3000, very original and black and eventually traded it for a series 1.5 Jag XKE. Owning vintage British sportscars, and their electrical systems, got to be too much of a full time hobby and the Jag made its way to the Northeast Car Museum.
