I was the high bidder on such a model, even though it was a rough redo. It was so inspiring, they just felt it was worth more money, not.

Brother James,
Interesting! Belgravia is just loaded with wall-to-wall cars like this and even rarer, but I can't imagine how you got such a clear shot. Nice framing. Contrast seems a bit low.

Terrific car. A beauty. What makes this photograph is that you hardly can make out when it was. If there weren't white lines it could have been well in the fifties. Great shot. Nice time capsule. Thanks.

If you had waited ten minutes, Peter Sellers and Britt Ekland would have come out of #50 and driven off!
Nice to see one in such appropriate surroundings. I'm fairly certain that this one is a daily driver and commutes up the M4 at the speed which it was intended for, could be wrong, even I don't know all of these beauties .As for the modern Conti GT; I've racked up a lot of miles in them and still find it hard to fault; anyone seen the video of one doing 205 mph round NARDO with four up? Cheers, Pete. |

James, a great shot of one of my favouite Bentlys in its home environment
Pete - I haven't seen the video but I once did 150mph+ round a banked track in an Audi, as a passenger of Roger Clark, who had no hands on the wheel and his reading glasses on !!

Thanks for the comments. William is right the contrast is a tad low here.
I was drawn by the timelessness of the scene and being a quite road I was able to get a shot with little else to reference the date by. If I hadn't have been running late I would have taken a few more, although the owner probably lives in the road so I guess I could return. |
