Pete -

Excellent eyeball bender type shot. One of the prior Lagonda owners was a bit short on pride of ownership.

Stuart, Tony,
Thanks for commenting. I think this was an LG45, or something of that approx vintage. There was a fabulous 50s Rapier at the show but I seem to have failed to get a photo- maybe Steve Unsworth has one? ......Steve it was a dark red car with beige hood, on the main lawn near the "lake", iirc!
Main problem for me at this local show is that I spend so much time catching up with folks that I miss the money-shots. It's much easier to work incognito at a place further away from home.

Hi Pete, I'm not sure. I don't think so, but I'd need to go through my shots from the day before I could say one way or the other.

Pete - I'm pretty certain Rapiers were only made before the war. They had an indestructible engine and when tuned were very quick.but they are a bit small inside but not as bad as a Riley.

If it wasnt for the top of the grill creeping into the bottom of frame the image is so shiny it looks photoshopped. Cool one. Did it make it into melons?

Hi Pete, I've had a look and the only Lagonda shots I have are of the car below - also something of a self portrait I guess <grin>

Tony, the Rapier I'm thinking of was the Lagonda version of the DB2, I don't think it sold at all well, though I seem to think that the Duke of Edinburgh had one. iirc it had a WO Bentley 2.5 ltr engine. I wish that I had taken the photo now, I can't find an image of it anywhere on the web!

That certainly is a crisp shot! You should do more of this stuff.

Clever composition, and a very, very nice shot, Pete.

Yours too, Stuart.

I've got one around here someplace of myself in the chrome headlight of a Duesenberg or something.

Got to find that thing...

Thanks.

Allan
