Best seat on the train!
Digilux-2 at 100ASA
Taken on a special 'Tradition Zug' on the metre-gauge Selketelbahn during an enthusiasts' weekend - there were 4 carriages full of enthusiasts behind the photographer, every one of them envying this guy!

One of the best RR shots I've seen in quite some time -- partly for its unusual view, but also for its framing, timing (to catch some attractive bend in the track, and sides of the carriage), and exposure. |

This is one of my favourite shots from that visit to the Harz in autumn 2004. This group of metre-gauge lines is very photogenic, and very welcoming to tourists - whether they are railway enthusiasts or not. John Quote:
