Lovely shots of one of the world's most desirable autos. The waiting list is over 4 years for one, and the chances of trying one before buying are almost unheard of.

John -

The street version has to get by without any NACA ducts, but there is no shortage of other intentional holes in the body.

If you're referring to the 3 vertical "holes" on the door - those are LED lights used in the ALMS racing series to denote class & position.

Lookiing good John.

Great venue for a race, at least it looked that way on TV. America's Monaco.

Thanks for sharing. Got any more?

No, I'm referring to the two forward facing inlets on the side of the car, which are part of the "street" version design, evolving from the Dinos, thorugh the 308/328 to the 360, close to the 430's.

The ducts to which I'm referring are the ones on the hood. If you don't know your racing history these are a specific design and are called NACA ducts.

I know they are called NACA ducts (from the NASA's earlier incarnation -- National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics), and have always found them strangely appealing. I first recall seeing them on aircraft in the early 1950s, but I'm sure they predate that by a few years.

They are clearly cup holders. Truffle graters to the left, parmesan on the right.

Here is one from the 1950's. This old bird is also fitted with the optional kebab skewers.

How did we get from a 430 to a Victor?

I love in garage shots!

Shame about those alloys hideous Carlos Fandango.
