No, I'm referring to the two forward facing inlets on the side of the car, which are part of the "street" version design, evolving from the Dinos, thorugh the 308/328 to the 360, close to the 430's. |

The ducts to which I'm referring are the ones on the hood. If you don't know your racing history these are a specific design and are called NACA ducts.

I know they are called NACA ducts (from the NASA's earlier incarnation -- National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics), and have always found them strangely appealing. I first recall seeing them on aircraft in the early 1950s, but I'm sure they predate that by a few years. |

Here is one from the 1950's. This old bird is also fitted with the optional kebab skewers.
