Default Formula One @ Monterey

Thought I'd share a pic of me driving at Monterey Historics.

Mark,
Is this a 1982 March Ford RM ?
The helmet design reminds me a bit of Derek Daly.

Mark,
Have to say, you don't look relaxed and judging by the position of your feet, I don't blame you!
Interesting to note that Grand Prix drivers have been placed over the back axle, in the middle, down the front (as in your car) and now back in the middle over the last 50 years.

Mark -

You look a lot shorter than I expected. Fun shot, and hope to see you soon.

RM09 is the chassis you see in the pic. I also had RM11. I sold the team to Steve Tillack, a noted Ferrari restoration shop here in SoCal, Tillack &Co. The helmet design is from the movie "Bobby Dearfield" starring Al Pacino and Marthe Keller about a Grand Prix driver who falls in love with a dying woman. Great racing sequences and quite a good movie.
Best, Mark

I could never stop thinking about my leg/feet position, as my shins were against the bulkhead and would be bruised and bleading when getting out of the car. I loved the handling of the car, it really suited my driving style; short wheelbase, very nervous, but not long in comfort.
Best, Mark
