Like the 21mm perspective, cloud and pattern in the stands. Nice catch.

Yes, that would be the #83 Red Bull Toyota Camry driven by Brian Vickers, currently sitting 44th on the grid as I write this.

Nice picture Brad. The pattern of the clouds and the light, with that radial effect coming from the top left third is remarkable.

Don't know if you can get access to it, but that next set of garages (the Busch Garages) just in front of you has a rooftop viewing area that is great for taking pictures from. You can take the stairs up to it from the Fan Zone (at least you could last week when IndyCar was there).

Have fun!

Thanks.

Allan

Brad -

The sweep of the curved fence, pit, track and stands against that dramtic sky make this a winner. Perfect angle fo the shot.

thanks for all the comments. yes Allan, this shot is actually from the viewing platform. one of my video screens is over there and i mosey over with the camera every couple of hours. that red bull toyota led the shootout last night for a couple laps then fell away. we're having fun watching the nascar dyehards trying to grasp the toyota concept...b

Another great example of your mastery of the CV15; great perspective. I'm eagerly awaiting my M-adapter for this lens.

thanks henry-you'll love it. i use it about 40% of the time on the m8. on the m6 it was a bit wide for everyday use but great for unusual perspectives. really easy to focus by scale and just fun to work with. at the price its unreal....b

If that were not enough, a full-blown open-wheeler is sitting in the second row waiting to take their biggest prize away from them...

Keep an eye on the #42 Texaco Dodge with Juan Pablo Montoya aboard. His team (Chip Ganassi with Felix Sabates) won the Rolex 24 Hours with JPM co-driving week before last, and has been down there for well over a month now getting ready to make waves.

Should be an interesting cross-cultural exchange out there Sunday.

Thanks.

Allan

Super sweeping shot with a powerful, interesting sky, too.
