Default A Couple Corvettes

I saw these this summer in a small park nearby. M2 with Summicron ASPH with Efke film. Not sure what years these were made though.

More very pleasing photos, Bill!

The first is early sixties; the second is late fifties...that's as far as I can go, but I know Stuart and others here can pinpoint the years of manufacture more specically.

Thanks for sharing.

The first is between '63 and '67 -- the Stingray body style. The second (my all-time favorite Vette) is either a '61 or '62, and the character line over the rear wheel that goes back, across the boot and to the other rear wheel well is characteristic of the '61 & '62. I also like the tones and tonal range of the 2nd.

The second is a 1962. A '61 had chrome trim around the scoop. The '61 & '62 models had the upper cut rear end which Chevrolet referred to as the "Sting Ray" rear end. In 1963, the Corvette Sting Ray was introduced. In addition to the convertible, there was the Fastback Split window coup in '63. The only year with this feature.
In my opinion, the '62 is still the sexist car ever made.

Peyton -

Where is the scoop that had the chrome ring around it on the '61?

The scoop is the oval shaped recessed area that runs from the rear edge of the front wheel openings to the middle of the doors.

Peyton -

Thank you. That decides it: I much prefer the '62 to the '61. Thanks
