The light in our gym really sucks (dim Fluoro). Was not able to get anything worthwhile with D70s and 70-200 f2.8 ED glass @ ISO 1600. I think this shot is probably usable once converted to B&W; what do you think?

Nice shot.
Something for the archives to save for when your son is older and (hopefully) lighting up the NCAA tournament! Thanks. Allan

Thanks guys; not my son. Mine are girls. Their game was over (they Killed!); Dad late AGAIN! But I'm trying to get the right set-up to keep a record of their high school sports. Looks like I'll sell the Nikon and just use my M8!
Cheers, Henry |

Sorry, Henry! They do play women's basketball in the tourney, too, and IU is always interested in young talent!!! ![]() Good luck. Thanks. Allan

nice photo. The young man shooting, however, needs to keep his shooting elbow tucked in, and to use his off hand only to keep the ball stationary through his stroke. Pass it along..I hate bad form!

These kids in the picture are the "postgame wanna-be's" so I don't know if anyone's coaching them!
Jeff, it was the noise that made me do the conversion. Haven't purchased Neat Image yet so the noise just looks better to me as "film grain". Dave, I agree. I was a footballer and tried to get my girls on the pitch since they were out of diapers. Neither one gives a rat's @ss about soccer; they love the hoops. I know little or nothing about basketball! Cheers all, Henry |
