Pete,

nicely put together - the shot, not the building

Thanks guys, this was taken using the FZ-30, so it was Vario-Elmarit ASPH.

Cheers,
Pete.

Pete,

Thanks for posting this! Besides being very nicely composed and exposed it is a very funny subject.

What is the location please?

Very nice Pete, it wouldn't be Brittany by any chance would it? It's not Southport, I know that much ;-)

It is St Palais sur Mer, Gironde estuary opposite the Medoc, just North of Royan. We've been going there for 20 years; this shot was last July/August.

These fishing huts (known as Carrelets, although that is really the name of the net; more normally square shaped) seemed to be falling into disuse a few years ago but last year we noticed many had been refurbished. Most of them along this bit of coast have an electricity supply, so nets are winched in and out more easily.
I was allowed to look into one last year- great privildge M. Le Patron had installed Tv, cooker and bar- totally excellent, hence my title.

Cheers,
Pete.

Thanks for the info Pete - I may have found the area to visit on my next trip to France :-)

The nearest I've been to here was driving through Cognac last year.

Pete, you expressed nicely your warmheartedness.
A good light control too.
