Default Le Mans Classic #1

Some nice old timers before the traditional start.

One of 827 images taken over the week-end!

Cheers,
Pete.

Truly a magical sight....and looks like a large and enthusiastic crowd to boot.

Did the drivers line up opposite and sprint over a la tradition as well?

Thanks for sharing Pete.

Allan

Thanks Allan. Yes they do the dash: in this shot the Mason family encourage Mum as she legs it.

Cheers,
Pete.

Pete -

So many exceptional "cars to die for," especially the TRs and the GTO.

Tony,
These were all serious, hammer and tongs races. No bumping and banging but flat out. One GT40 (value maybe 0.75m pounds, not euro) went straight through a tyre wall at high speed, very serious damage but the driver walked away, fortunately.

Cheers,
Pete.
