New 3-series at the show...truth be told this is the one I really wanted to drive home!

Allan -
As usual, you've posted a photo worthy of Bimmer's brochures. BTW: In the late 1940s and early 1950s the bikers who brought home BMW motorcycles called them "Bimmers", and the name stuck until yuppies called them "Beemers" thinking it sounder more German. I prefer the original. The same yuppies were referring to Lancias as Lahn-CEE-yuhs be cause it sounded Italian to them (Remember the Sorpione?). I couldn't convince any of them of the Italian pronunciation of LAHN-chuh |

Lovely styling and image ... and yes, I almost bought one myself but when I found out that the turbo-charger of the 335i twin-turbo was made by Mitsubishi, I put my money right back into my bank. No, thank you. |

Great Shot Allan, I like the conversion too. There is going to be a big St.louis Auto show at the Ed Jones Dome during Jan 24-28. I am going to try to go. I can't wait to see the new Dodge Challenger there.

Thanks everyone for your comments.
This one was white Neil. I can only imagine what two turbos strapped onto one of these would be like! ![]() Thanks. Allan

And yes, it is a pleasure to drive one... as it is a pleasure to look at your photographs! |

Allan, I guess there's a real danger with photographing white cars in B&W that you're going to lose detail. Do you have to compensate - underexposing a fraction?
Fortunately I don't see too many white cars (no offence intended for those with white ones!), Newey's GT40 is about the only white car that looks attractive to my eye. The white Vanquish that Bez from AML was running around in was awful... However, I'd be interested in knowing if it's more tricky to photograph..... |

As everyone above, thank you for showing. An extremely nice rendition.
Love the toning. It gives life to the image. The framing is well designed and gives it the space it deserves. Rolo |
