Interesting shot. Any reason why (if at all known) the artist / sculpter chose 3 of the 4 w/o helmets + no shoulder pads. Probably the players were more roboust in those days.

I am not certain of the choices made by the sculptor...or what was customary in the early 1900's in this regard.
