Dirk -

Good to see your work again (Of course I've been away, too). Lovely tones, details, light and framing. At first I wanted less space behind her, but then I looked again and felt that the musinc on the music stand enhanced the composition. Award yourself some PM.

Hello,

Very tendencyful and brilliant relating to crafts admission. For me a beautiful example that religious singing is not without erotism.

Kind regards

The photographer + impact of this lens + the lighting & composition make this shot appealing to me.

Very nice control of tones in the face. I like these shots and I like that I can see the faces of the people in the background.

The RD-1 has a crop factor of 1.52X, right. So that means your Nocti is a 76 mm.

How does it affect the depth of field. I was thinking how much you have to work with at F/1.4. It would normally be about 70-100 cm that is sharp if you are at a distance of 5 meters. Is that the same with the crop factor?

Really beautiful shot with very dramatic lighting, Dirk. Say, is your nocti sharper at f1.4 than mine is? Or are you just steadier? ;-}

Ivan, Stuart, Wolfgang, Paul, Thorsten and Brent,

Thank you very much for your kind comments.

@Stuart: most probably it will not be too big a sacrifice to treat myself with some Pierre Marcolini's
one of these days.

@Wolfgang: please feel free to mail me privately if you're interested in the singer's phone number.

@Thorsten: on RD-1 nocti indeed becomes a 75mm because of the crop factor.
The crop factor causes the "loss" of 1 stop as far as DoF is concerned.
This means nocti at f1.4 on RD-1 is equivalent to a 75/2 at f2.0 on an M7 for instance.
Or at f1.0 it will behave like a 75/1.4 at full aperture.

@Brent: you noticed well.
There's nothing wrong with the steadiness of your hands, only the face and the hair were a little
sharpened in PS.

Best,

Dirk

Hello Dirk,

I is not insulted, no and I has the joke with smiles enjoyed. Humans completely the portion of the natural beauty, large in the Platonic sense, have, address my senses very strongly. If this is noticed so beautifully, I will shift something nevertheless.

Kind regards

Wolfgang
