Dan,

excellent shot, nicely composed with good tones and focus. One to show him in the future.

Our family & children's pics some day will be the most important photos we have ever made.
Maybe this one will be shown around in 80 years by grandparents to their grandchildren?

Thanks Robert and Dirk...

Dirk, I agree absolutely. I often wonder how different it will be for our children when they look back on family photographs, compared to how it was for us. I know I take pictures of my children almost every day (some good, some not so good) and I'm sure this applies to many photographers with children. Imagine what a legacy they will have when they are older, a very detailed record of their lives right from when they were born. It's quite different from the handful of snaps that I have of my own childhood.

I wonder if that will make the new generation value the photographs more, or less?

All the best,

Dan

Dan,

some fairly ruthless pruning of the myriad of images should result in a reasonable set of prints for Monty to look at when he's older - put this one in the collection.

I always hated it to be photographed by *drunk-in-knipsmodus-total-recall-stealers*. My own child's pics are ugly. And I'm proud of that piece of history.
I've got two cool daughters. They deserve for their grandchildren better stuff than that. (without f°°°in' *cheeese*-force 2. Questionable motive, maybe...
