Default That's Mr Geldof speaking

Yesterday, Bob Geldof spent the whole day at La Stampa newspaper and was Editor in Chief for one day on the occasion of the G8 conference that in three days will be held in Italy. Africa will be in fact one of the most important topics,
Quite an interesting day and of course I had my M8 with me.

Leica M8 + Summilux 50mm f1.4 Asph
Thanks for looking

A great series. Each picture has great tones, sharpness and framing. Wonderful moments captured well.

Enrico, is that unusual for your paper? He's an outsized personality & figure, not exactly mainstream. I like #2 best.

Louis, Paul Mauro, Ben And Marie Louise,
Thank you very much for looking and leave a comment. I appreciate.

Ben, this is quite unusual since we usually have Italian politicians and other gang members visiting the newspaper for mutual favours. But we have a brand new Editor in Chief, Mr. Mario Calabresi (the guy in lower left corner in pic #2) that is ayoung (40) smart and intelligent and able to set up happenings like this. The day wit Bob Geldof was extremely interesting and he's a nice friendly man. I had a great time.

Enrico -

Terrific series for composition, subject, detail, contrast, tonal range, tonal quality and selective focus.

Excellent series, did they use any in the paper? Sir Bob looks to be working hard.

Thank you Stuart and James.

James, maybe they will be used on the newspaper web page. Bob was really working hard on the special issue of the paper on the future of Africa. He did a very interesting speach and i could spend half an hour with him while he was writing the words we put on the issue cover. I told him his handwriting was even worst than mine and he laughed and said "yes, that's a tragedy".
I love this 70es Pop Star look he has

Enrico,

Great character study. Just seeing these photos gives me a glimpse into this man's psyche.

Cheers!

David, thank you for your words and for taking the time to look at my pictures.
That was my first meeting with Bob and besides the aged and quite fatigued look, i found him full of energy and incredibly communicative.
I suppose he is around sixty now and I'm amazed by the amount of things he did the other day.

Robert Geldof, KBE... According to Wikipedia, he's not quite 50 yet! LOL! I think they have their dates off by 9 years or so

Ah well. What great shots! I love the second one, especially. Well done!
