Steve,

I love the colour in the surrounding darkness.

Steve, I saw the 50mm Leica lens, and ISO1600, and immediarely said, "No Way!!" Then I noticed the lens was on a 5D.

Nice shot!

Thanks, it was the natural vignetting that appealed - together with the cheeky chap.

The original has some noise, but I decided not to bother using Neat Image to reduce it.

Incidently I didn't have to adjust the white balance either.

This is the most disappointing museum that I have ever visited- glad you managed to come away with a decent shot.

The reds all fit together to make an impressive image. The 5D is amazing at the high ISO settings. I recently had to shoot something at 3200 with my 5D (no choice) and was actually able to come away with usable shots that are being published.

Brent, I noticed the reds before I took the shot. It was nice of the lad to have yellow piping on his shirt to match the writing on the fire engine too ;-)

Each iteration of Canons has had cleaner high ISO files than the previous model. Maybe next time they will up the max ISO?

I like the crispness and clarity + the colors of this high iso shot.
