Wickedly good combination of colours and an unselfconcious pose

it's a superb photo of a competition:
human eye vs. Summicron ;-) The first one will win - over all. Regards Bernd

Graham,
Not crazy about this one, but there are several really neat shots on your site which are beautifully lighted. Are you using a DMR now or a full-frame digital camera. Really like the girl in the engine room and one you posted on the old Forum. Definitely first-class work.

A very striking shot, with superb composition.
Thanks for sharing.

Graham,
Kristel reminds me of an unforgetable face I photographed on the ferry between Haapsalu and Hiiumma. It is long lost. Your photograph is beautiful; your web-site is extraordinary...Al |

Tweaking the sweather to a better shape would take this from good to great. Sometimes in the heat of battle we focus on what is good about the image and not enough on what isn't. THis is not candid I assume, so that should be possible. In Candid, you get what you get.

Graham, I like almost everything about this, I like the tight crop, I like the hair over her left eye, I like the jumper. But (and I bet you knew there was going to be a but ;-), the lightting makes her nose look as if it has been broken! It looks as if she's been hit from our right at some point. Of course it could be that her nose _has_ been broken, but I don't think that's what clients normally expect to see in a portrait.
