Default I'm so proud

My daughter is showing an interest in photography. She is starting with disposable cameras.

Some of her work. If you look carefully, you can see a Wallaby in the grass (Non-Leica material. Mods delete if needed)

Yes, start them off when they're still young. Wonderful hobby, photography is!

David,

Awesome capture of a cute child.

Thank you Albert and Ivan.

She is already interested in what makes a photo sharp and blurry, light and dark.

When she is older and once her hands are big enough I will let her loose with my old FM2n and 50mm lens. I think it would be a great way to learn the basics (rather than a digital P&S).

Just as long as she does not take off with my MP.

David -

Yours? She's adorable, and so is the excellent catch of her. Based on her photo she may be a natural. In a year or two you'll need to get her a better camera and start her on post processing.

Interesting to see she is already adopting the rule of thirds in her composition...

Nice one

That shot of your daughter is awesome! Nice timing, tones, and wonderful moment.
At the rate she's going, she'll be going after that MP...

Thank you Kaytee, Bo, Andy & Amado.

Some of her photos have, shall we say, a more abstract quality

Taken from the back seat of a car on a wet, long drive. Looks like something Juergen Teller would win the Turner Prize with.

I like the colours in this one.

These pictures that she took are more interesting than many other pictures uploaded to this forum. It's so great to see someone discover the world in this way.

I am new here, but so many pictures here are boring and has no story. I don't see any reason to upload them or show them to others. I am very happy to see her pictures here and that she uses a disposable camera is very exciting.

Thanks Kirkmingle, though as long a Leica refuse to make a disposable camera this will be the limit of her photos on this forum (It is a Leica users forum after all).

As far your comments about what others upload, I am as guilty as any of the philosophy of when in doubt, upload. I find it interesting to see which of my photos people connect with and what sinks without a trace as it is often different to my personal reaction to my photos.

I also enjoy and am inspired by much of what others post in the photo forums. The worst thing that can happen is that I will spend a few moments with a photo that does not interest me. I enjoy getting to know other people's style which can only happen if they post their stuff.
