Default Day Tripper

Emerging from the #1 for a night in the City. I'd follow him anywhere.

Ben -

And certainly not get him angry. Excellent angle, composition, subject and tonal quality.

The angle contributes so much to the picture! Were you on your knees begging to take it??

Ben,
Your angle of vue creates a lot of space.

Thanks all for your kind words & comments.

I'm trying something new here. I have been hanging out at the corner of Christopher Street & & 7th Ave, looking for ways to capture the verve and pulse of this nexus. Instead of wandering, I'm trying to see this corner from all vantage points and the persons that come into it's vortex. For those that know Greenwich Village, this subway stop is the threshold to a different world. I hope I have been able to share some of the flavor of our little corner.

This quiet, subdued gentleman came up from the subway, unaccompanied. I was stunned by his appearance and quietly asked if I could make his portrait. He just nodded his head and smiled. I immediately got down on the pavement & pressed the shutter. He extended his hand to me to help me up, saying that "we old men really need to help each other". I love this place.
