Earning his fare
MP, 35mm Sum, T-Max 400.
Pam and I stopped and spoke with this gentleman on our walk down Wisconsin Ave in Georgetown on Saturday. He is presently homeless but has landed a construction job in Alexandria. He needed to earn enough money to buy 2 weeks of Metro (subway) fares to the job site so he decided to strum a few tunes and wait for tips. We listened to a couple of songs, tipped him, and then with his permission took a couple of pictures. As we were leaving, he looked at me, pointed, and said, "Hey, if that picture gets printed I want some royalties!" Maybe homeless, definitely sharp. Enjoy! |
