Hi All,
Due to time constraints I'm not posting as much as I used to but if I shoot something I think worthwhile, I will post it. This shot was a challenge because of the bright background against dark the skin, not to mention a restless child. It was done at a beach hence the sandy face. Normally I don't like to see my reflection in the eyes of my subjects, but in this case, I like it. I took this shot with my M8 and 50mm Hexanon. JRM,
No hay de que. I'm glad you liked the shot. There is messy magic in childhood. Cheers, Wilfredo Benitez-Rivera Photography |

Wilfredo -
I've missed seeing your posts and am glad that the reason is just schedule and not health issues. But I do miss seeing your photos and comments. This image is superb in framing, subject, contrast, tonal range, detail and moment. |

Thank you all. Life has been busy in other arenas with little time left over for photography. I got this shot while doing a photo shoot for one of the groups I work with called: Orange County for Darfur. How you can help - Orange County for Darfur | Living Ubuntu Last year we did a beach photo with people laying on the sand spelling the word: "ENOUGH !" . This year we did the same thing but spelling the words: "END GENOCIDE NOW!". I'm doing the post-processing for that shot and I hope to be finished with it today. It involves lots of artistic post-processing. The boy in this shot is named Alijah, his grandma is actively involved with OC for Darfur. I did some shots of him about a year ago, and I think I may have posted some on this forum.
Ben: I probably won't be back on the East Coast until next year. Next time I travel, I'll let you know. Cheers, Wilfredo Benitez-Rivera Photography Last edited by wilfredo : 09/09/08 at 02:48 AM. |

Great photo Wilfredo. Love those eyes and wonderful job in a difficult situation.
Interesting stuff you have been doing. Seems for a very good cost so all is not lost. Will we be seeing some of the photo's from it... Amado |

If you go to the Living Ubuntu website I mention above, there will be some photos posted there over the next few days. Thanks again to all. It's great to have this community of shutter bugs to share the photography we all do and have a passion for. Cheers, Wilfredo Benitez-Rivera Photography |

Eckart,
Thank you. I just showed this picture to my partner, she hadn't seen it, and she fell in love with the child. I'm looking forward to snapping the next fulfilling picture... Cheers, Wilfredo Benitez-Rivera Photography |
