Default Pixel Repair

On 32nd Street near 6th Avenue a worker is high up repairing a large screen used for advertising in this largely Korean block, around 6:30 this morning.

Yep, number 2 for me too. Your early morning walks are proving most productive.

Spectacular capture on image #2. The light, color, subject material...it all comes together very nicely.

I want to speak in favor of the first one. It's a picture of what Photoshop does for me inside my computer.

Gotta love that light--and the fact that you knew what to do with it.

Stuart,

Since it's not a contest I like them both for different reasons.

In the first one I like the way you've managed to preserve shadow detail in the man in front of the very bright light from the screen, and in the second I like the way the man and his bucket stand out prominently from the mute background, giving focus to the picture. Very skillful work!

Pete.

Pete T - Thank you, and I plan to do a post today taken at 5:45 last Friday. Zzzzzzzzzzz.

Amado, Philip & Sharookh - Thank you.

Pete F - Thank you. When I took them I expected to like #1 better, and I alomst didn't take #2, but once downloading it from the camera I'm leaning towards #2. However, when I took them I very much liked #1 for it being clear what he was working on, as well as for the refelctions in the windows.
