Amado,
these are great shots - I like how concentrated these artists are in what they are doing. Which leads me to my question (while being completely aware of the possibility of asking a dumb question showing my artistic ignorance) : What are they doing? It that some kind of reproduction kit where you fix the head in order to just copy what your eyes see through the grill? Has anyone any idea as to what this is good for? Best Jyn

Bizarre. Why not use an M8 with a CV12? Well shot.

Most interesting....especially the 3rd. Is that a pencil drawing?
Would like to know more about this series. Amado, Very nicely captured and as I said, very interesting too.

Hi Amado,
all three are very good, my personal favourite is the first one. I would assume the viewing position needs to be fixed to keep the perspective. Just saw a huge version of such a kind of image in an old gasometer (hence called a 'Panometer'). The image looks very plastic from the right (centre) position but the perspective is distorted when seeing the image off-centre. Asisi Factory - Stefan |

Hey Amado...let's see if my memory serves me anything other than a cold platter of blankness....(I remember them, artiste & his roadie, telling us that they came up with this contraption. I remember thinking they were lying. One eye sees the page only. Other eye sees the next part to be drawn. Both eyes wide open. Head fixed to maintain accuracy. Square by square he goes. Down first then move over a square. We're told that incredible detail is possible. I believe it. I've seen it. I looks a lot more interesting/ complicated that it is. IMO). Not so much an explanation as a description.

Gentlemen, Thank You All Kindly!

Thanks Jon.I also remember that they would remove sections at a time as they finished it, then attached it back together when the project was done. Their was also a mention of something like tracing. The 3rd shot is actually a small printout. It's original version is much bigger like the one they are working on. The concave shape gives a nice illusion.
