Default Proof that it doesn't always rain in Ireland

No it doesn't always rain in Ireland, sometimes not more than twice a day.

Here's a busy beach crowd on Ross Beigh strand, Saturday morning of the August bank-holiday weekend. My friend's son Ethan contemplating the vastness of the ocean.

Michael -

Very convincing studio set to look like a sunny day on the coast of ireland.

Excellent composition, light, color and simplicity. Cute leprechan, too.

What a nice shot, with the child just at the right place and looking the right way- not easy.

Saturday of the August Bank Holiday? That would be tomorrow then?

Michael -
Great image - please try converting this into B+W. I'm sure it will be even more impressive.

Pete, it's a different weekend in Ireland - the first weekend of the month. Several public holidays throughout the year are different to the UK; I always have to be careful when making plans with friends and family in Ireland.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Sharookh,

Good suggestion.

I often have this discussion with my missus. I prefer most images in B&W and she never understands why.

Anyway, here it is. Colour temperature made cooler in Adobe Camera Raw. Opened in PS, background duplicated, noise reduced, then "multiplied" with background layer, mask added over second layer, gradient added to mask, Channel Mixer Adjustment Layer added and Orange Filter selected, Levels Adjustment Layer added and black point clipped slightly.

Could I suggest an even more dramatic treatment ? The colour is beautifully composed. thanks for indulging me and apologies if you object to tampering with your work.

Chris - tamper away.

The skies in Kerry often look dark and threatening, but not that dark!
