Another in your long line of recent examples of superb color, light and selective focus. Barbara remarked to me yesterday that the way boys and young men appear in public these days makes you wonder who would ever date them. One of the answers is the woman in the middle of your photo.

Stu, the Village has always been the center of Gay & Lesbian America. From Bleeker to Christopher Street over to the Hudson Pier on Christopher St, there is a mix of extraordinary people that defy any taxonomy. This generation sees things much differently than we do. Experimentation among the young has become the norm. In particular, this area is a haven for men & women of color. They often find less acceptance in their neighborhood. The Christopher street station of both the PATH & subway have coalesced to make this the "new" Greenwich Village" of the Bisexual, Trans-sexual, Gay & Lesbian population.

The manner of dress I'm referring to goes far beyond the Village and Chelsea, to nearly every place I've been in recent years in the US, and sadly, to many places outside the US, too.

Absolutely, con-sarn-it!

Combining that thought and getting old, for several years now I've felt the way that many young women dress is unfair to hookers, making it tougher on potential clients to identify service providers, except in the better hotels in Las Vegas where the hookers dress in better quality trashy outfits.

I also first blame Madonna, and then Carrie Bradshaw (perhaps Sarah Jessica Parker if she selects Carrie's outfits) for making it a fashion statement to select bras that in no way go with what she is wearing (e.g: black under white, halter top with conventional bra, etc). My con-sarn-it response is I'm seeing slovenliness.

Given the opportunity I can show every one of my 96-year-old grumbles, which means I'm sort of precocious.
