National and local media converged upon Memphis for the 40th anniversary of Martin Luther King's assasination... Time on these shots is between 4:30am and 6:00am... It was raining and miserable...

Kelly Hessedal joined WREG as a reporter in November of 2006. Previously, Kelly worked as a reporter at WQAD in Moline, IL.
She has a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN with degrees in both English and Communication. Originally from Princeton, MN, Kelly has lived all over the country. After she finished college in 2001, she moved to the Bay Area in CA and worked at the Contra Costa Times. From there, she worked for the Medill News Service in Chicago and Washington DC. Kelly enjoys traveling abroad. During college, she studied art history in Italy and sociology in Thailand. |
