Myanmar (Burma to those of you with an atlas published more than 20 years ago) was among the most fascinating places we've visited -- and those who know us know we travel a great deal. There are still so many places to see, but we would return to Myanmar. The blacksmith workshop shown below is on Lake Inle, our favoirite part of the country Because the lake was so overgrown with weeds the fisherman learned to paddle their boats using their legs to control the paddle while working their nets with their hands. And that's just one of the charms of Lk Inle. You can see more of Lk. Inle at Trip Notes** Africa** Asia** Australia on the 2nd & 3rd Myanmar photo galleries.

Hello Stuny,
the picture pleases me very well. There is an idea of a fascinating culture. Such a handicraft is to be seen with us hardly more. Greeting Wolfgang |

Nice Shot Stuart !
Can I add my own and modest contribution to your statement : "...the fisherman learned to paddle their boats using their legs to control the paddle while working their nets with their hands..." ![]() |

Don't ask where the upper end of the oar sits while he's paddling with one leg...
![]() Good, interesting shots, both of you.
