stuny Posted March 3, 2015 Share #2 Posted March 3, 2015 #2 is lovely. In #1 she seems too uncomfortable
Michael Hiles Posted March 3, 2015 Share #3 Posted March 3, 2015 I also like #2. The light in #1 seems to be unnatural/uneven.

likalar Posted March 4, 2015 Share #5 Posted March 4, 2015 Very attractive subject. On both, I like her very simple, understated body language; so often with younger subjects like this, there is too much "drama" in the pose. Nice work, and I hope you post often. jaapv Posted March 4, 2015 Share #7 Posted March 4, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Lovely images. I only wish for some more light in the faces, either using a reflector or Photoshop.
ShawnK Posted March 4, 2015 Share #8 Posted March 4, 2015 #2 for me, seems rather natural, ....everything. Also quite indigenous too.
Torgian Posted March 4, 2015 Author Share #9 Posted March 4, 2015 Lovely images. I only wish for some more light in the faces, either using a reflector or Photoshop. This is something I will be buying soon (a reflector). I really want Photoshop, but way too expensive for me for the time being. Would rather put that money towards travel. A little story behind the top picture. We were trying to go for the "ghost" imagery. Title of the photograph is "ghost", pronounced "yo-ma" in Japanese (ようま、妖魔) Please keep an eye on my website for more. nasarow-fo-to.com

Larry She'll be happy to know people think she's young. As of yet, I am being held under threat of death if I disclose of her actual age. wda Posted March 4, 2015 Share #13 Posted March 4, 2015 ..I really want Photoshop, but way too expensive for me for the time being. Would rather put that money towards travel. I would have thought Photoshop Elements is very affordable, compared with travel. Even Lightroom is a bargain for what it can do to improve your photography. But there is a learning curve, just like there is when exploring a new country for the first time.

Oh, I have lightroom, which I use along with silverlight. But I want to get Photoshop CS6, for reasons other than just photography. I never have quite gotten the hang of changing exposure on certain spots (like faces) in lightroom, without it looking terrible to me. So I try to get it as correct as much as I can in camera, which is why I want a reflector.

Gimp is free and does most of what PS does, although maybe not as well laid out but if you're not already used to PS it's probably easier to get to grips with. likalar Posted March 4, 2015 Share #16 Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) I really want Photoshop, but way too expensive for me for the time being. In case you didn't know already: Adobe offered student/educator discounts that may be useful to you. Still expensive, yes; maybe the monthly payment subscription plan would be good for you? Louis Posted March 4, 2015 Share #17 Posted March 4, 2015 She is very pretty, indeed... Contrary to others, I really like number 1. I find more mood in it as if it was a scene from a movie!
