StS Posted February 24, 2015 Share #2 Posted February 24, 2015 I wonder a bit, why I'm the first one to comment apart from one "thanks" I find it very multi-layered, lovely, a trace of darkness, like a story untold behind the picture. Lighting and tonal control are excellent. Stefan
A miller Posted February 24, 2015 Share #3 Posted February 24, 2015 another interesting one, Steve. I like how you are growing as a photographer from the perspective of getting more personal with your subjects. I might suggest converting the image to an 8X10 aspect ration so as to crop the left side off (or the right side; in fact probably the right side as it is true dead space) to make the woman on the third of the image. Lee Martin Posted February 24, 2015 Share #4 Posted February 24, 2015 Great shot , well captured . She looks so relaxed about it, she either didn't see you, didn't care, or it's a relative ?
stuny Posted February 25, 2015 Share #5 Posted February 25, 2015 Very nice.
steve kessel Posted February 25, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted February 25, 2015 Stefan, Adam, Lee, Stuart. Thank you for commenting. I'd noticed her earlier, so perhaps she wasn't concerned as I took her photograph as she walked by here. I'm fond of the area on the right as it has the bit of cling film that adds free form sparkle. Here's another version with more bite. Best wishes Steve Welcome, dear visitor! robert_parker Posted February 26, 2015 Share #7 Posted February 26, 2015 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I think the second version adds something. For me the image needs the left and the right hand side to retain the scene and context A really outstanding street portrait, however it is rendered Edited February 26, 2015 by robert_parker

jedi996sps Posted March 6, 2015 Share #9 Posted March 6, 2015 The 2nd one definitely has more bite. And the cling film??
sblitz Posted March 6, 2015 Share #10 Posted March 6, 2015 Love it, prefer the first one. Yes it has less bite, but somehow I seem to get brought into the picture more. Just an opinion.
sblitz Posted March 6, 2015 Share #11 Posted March 6, 2015 It might be stronger by cropping out the pole. There is a mystery of sorts in what is drawing her, losing the pole might bring that out more.
