jedi996sps Posted January 15, 2015 Share #2 Posted January 15, 2015 A lovely set of images. No9 stands out a little from the others as being my favourite.

roguewave Posted January 15, 2015 Share #4 Posted January 15, 2015 Adam, beautiful work. I think the images are a bit flat & could use some slight contrast. The last image is my favorite.
A miller Posted January 15, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted January 15, 2015 Thanks, Ben. Interesting comment as I had opened up all of these a little after receiving a batch of prints from family shots that were too dark on paper. I suppose better localized contrast could be appropriate here. These won't ever see any more light of day, but I'll keep your comment in mind for other images that I am working on. Thanks for the comment.
Sparkassenkunde Posted January 15, 2015 Share #6 Posted January 15, 2015 Thank you for bringing back a lot of memories:) I only had the luck to visit Jerusalem once for 50 hours and I think, your pictures transport the spirit and vibes I felt when I was there last year. My favorites are the first two and the ninth.

Berth Posted January 30, 2015 Share #14 Posted January 30, 2015 I'm struck by how your camera captured how unhappy a place that must be. No laughter / smiles anywhere.
A miller Posted January 30, 2015 Author Share #15 Posted January 30, 2015 Many thanks, Dario, Bill and Berth. Berth - Good observation for the most part. It is all about what is interesting to me. In this case, it was the "daily grind" that exists in any city, even in my city of NYC. Jerusalem is no different. And many people who frequent this old market aren't in awe and all smiles like me, but rather just want to get in and out as quickly as possible with minimal headache. As for those who make a living there (like my father-in law once did), oy! is the appropriate word! Best, Adam
colonel Posted January 30, 2015 Share #16 Posted January 30, 2015 Very nice Adam A few in colour next time would be great as the colours in that market are amazing
A miller Posted January 30, 2015 Author Share #17 Posted January 30, 2015 Harold - I agree 100%. Been there and done that with my M9 and color film. It is way nicer in color and the way this market should be photographed.
