XVarior Posted November 22, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 22, 2014 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Would like to share with you a sneak peak of my latest fashion & jewellery photoshoot for ELLE Magazine. Location is a beautiful vintage theatre called Metro-Al-Madina "al-madina" means The City" I opted for continuous lighting and intentionally included some of those lights in my compositions in order to convey the splendid atmosphere of that theatre. M9 / Summilux 50 & 35. ISO 160. Conversion to B&W using Lightroom. PS: Color shots are there because i haven't decided whether to keep them as is or convert them to B&W. like the red in the background! all Images have little to no PP. hope you'll enjoy. comments are welcome as usual. StS Posted November 22, 2014 Share #4 Posted November 22, 2014 Outstanding lighting, the black and white conversion is excellent, brilliant tonal control, although the colour versions have their merits too. Stefan

XVarior Posted November 22, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted November 22, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thank you dears, glad you liked the color version, really a dilemma to me as the whole shoot was planned to go B&W but these last ones made me think twice before converting due to that red / green touch in the background particularly the circular red! Louis, the girl you liked is Nour, my colleague from the "1st time we meet and look what she did to me" post, remember?!

A miller Posted November 22, 2014 Share #12 Posted November 22, 2014 You have some really professional ones here, XV. I like all of the color shots as much as the B&W. The WB is in very fine balance. Good luck with the rest of your project! Best, Adam
jloden Posted November 22, 2014 Share #13 Posted November 22, 2014 Great work! I'm a huge fan of B&W and these are some beautiful monochrome conversions, but I also really like the color versions of this set. The red and blue and green color palette makes it feel very vibrant and visual contrasts nicely.
