Popular Post topoxforddoc Posted October 29, 2014 Popular Post Share #1 Posted October 29, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) It was huge privilege to meet Sebastiao Salgado last night at a talk in Beetles & Huxley Gallery in London. He spoke extensively about his career and how he changed from being an economist to one of the world's greatest living photographers. He was happy for me to shoot during his interview and he signed my copy of Sahel - The End of the Road. Just need to find more cash to buy a print. S 006 70/2.5S Welcome, dear visitor! topoxforddoc Posted October 29, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted October 29, 2014 Stuart, Becker and Ben, Thanks. The gallery was full of wealthy art buyers. I was the only guest with a camera, apart from the gallery owners, who filmed the interview. I was in London anyway, shooting a gig, so this was a perfect interlude between soundcheck and the main live act. Charlie

carl_valiquet Posted October 31, 2014 Share #7 Posted October 31, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Charlie. Great photograph of a great photographer and nice person. To quote you: «Just need to find more cash to buy a print.» I was wondering, if you did buy a print of one of his photograph, which image would you purchase? I think that such a choice is tougher to do than finding the cash. What about starting a thread on: « Which Salgado image would you buy a print of…» Just saying. fotografr Posted October 31, 2014 Share #8 Posted October 31, 2014 Outstanding. Here's how you can get a free print. Just buy his two volume set of Genesis, Art Edition A, and you get a print with it.
