Beauty isn't in the cards here, but nonetheless the "bed sheet" that the woman is wearing in the first is an insight on how New Yorkers basically live their lives on the street in the sense that we are on the street for so much of the day. Whereas people in rural areas spend most of the time either at their home, in their office or in their car, we spend our time on the street. So we get to see each other in all types of dress-downs, dress-ups and everything in between.
