This portrait of Ivett was made with a Leica M9 and a Voigtlander 75mm f1.8 lens in late afternoon light on the coast of Maine.

What a beautiful subject in her simplicity and character. This color shot works, the red of her hair, sweater, and finally her lips converge beautifully! I was curious to see how it looked in B&W and cropped. I hope you don't mind that I experimented with it. Either way, it is a marvelous portrait. I suggest you crop it. I'm sure she is very happy with it. BTW, I recently purchased the 75mm f/2.5 CV, and love it on my Monochrom.

Thanks for your interpretation. When I make black and white photographs I work with a 4x5 or 8x10 inch view camera and black and white film, I don't convert digital color files to monochrome. This image is about a reflective moment in the warmth of late afternoon light and the color and cropping is essential to my vision of that moment.
