stuny Posted August 28, 2014 Share #1 Posted August 28, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) The Highline Park, running about 2 kilometers in length, is built on a defunct elevated railway line, at about 10th Avenue, from 12th Street to 30th Street in Manhattan. They have begun work on another few blocks, and the concept and execution are superb. It has become a major draw for locals and tourists, and has spawned refurbishment and new building on either side of it. If you go, to so in the morning (the earlier the better). Later in the day it's justly deserved popularity will be annoyingly crowded with people. In this photo a weary (from carrying a DLSR) older photographer takes the elevator at 30th Street back down to street level. Welcome, dear visitor!
