stuny Posted August 28, 2014 Share #2 Posted August 28, 2014 Wonderful. When I read the title I expected it to be a photo of Richard.
A miller Posted August 28, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted August 28, 2014 Thanks, Stuart. Ive dug myself into somewhat of a hole with my inventory. But i paused over this one last night with one eye opened and decided to elevate it to the top of my pile. I love the realism in his eyes and the expression of not really being too interested in me. tookaphotoof Posted August 28, 2014 Share #4 Posted August 28, 2014 I find it a lovely shot. Would have loved a bit more visual background information myself though as to me, the photo could have been shot anywhere in the world.

A miller Posted August 28, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted August 28, 2014 Many thanks, TAFO and Charlie - As for the use of bokeh and shooting wide open, it is an interesting perspective expressed, indeed. To me, though, the photo takes the gentlemen off of the streets for a moment in time. Without the bokeh, I think the photo would have a totally different feelm, as it would provide a sad and potentially uncomfortable context in which this man lives on a day-to-day basis. thanks again, adam
fotografr Posted August 29, 2014 Share #7 Posted August 29, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) A truly superb portrait. Love the framing, expression and shallow DOF.
